Nice spacious restaurant, tasty good food, friendly staff.
Great food, great selection, amazing price. Dim Sum lunch, six of us $25 each with tip and so full. Wow ❣️
I recently picked up an order of dimsum as they are marketing their dimsum menu being 40% off. However, they created a new menu by increasing the cost on every item. In the end I still saved money, but with the increase you are only really saving 25-30% off. This just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I hate the way business was conducted and it just seems really shady to me. I hate the false advertising and won't be giving them my business again.
Amazing food. Fair prices. Awesome service. Loved the shrimp with peaches and sweet cream sauce as well as the green onion cake!
I love this place. Whether it is for dim sum or items of the menu is always sooooo good. If you haven't eaten here you gotta check it out.
Good space for tables. Food and price are decent!
Chinese New Year busy but fast, delicious & good service
The food here is amazing only down side is it is a bit pricy. Bring a large group. It will be worth it!
This spot clearly knows how to take care of their clients. Always with a nice mindset. The food is fairly priced, always delicious and clean.
I go to this restaurant often! This is my favorite place to have a bite. I visit this place frequently. The cooking is excellent, the staff is helpful and the rates are good. I like eating in this place over a tasty meal.
Highly Recommended. Friendly staff combined with excellent service and the best Dim Sum we have had in the city so far. you can't go wrong here .
Back to Emperors Palace again. This is our go-to restaurant for Chinese food since we tried it shortly after they opened. Great food. Great service. Love it. See you again soon.
A little expensive but great tasting food. Will go back for sure. To save a little money go to groupon and get a voucher for here.
larger than normal size dim sum taste good price nice
This place is opened for dine-in. tables are well spaced apart. All staff wears mask. we went for dim sum. you order of a menu (no push carts). everything was great
Great real Chinese Dim Sum ! The only issue i have is that they don’t have any dipping sauces , the only hot sauce they serve taste like it is expired and is terrible, so you have to ask for soy sauce or bring your own like I did second time I went there because they just don’t have any options or the servers don’t understand what I want . The food is excellent, hot and tasty , if you are not too picky about service but you like good food , than you will not regret going there.
Very good, the deep fried shrimp dumplings were our favourite. Prices are decent and the servers very nice and attentive. Would recommend
The restaurant is fantastic.. but the location is sketchy. We had to be walked out of the restaurant by the staff because there were three very intimidating homeless people in the entrance who wouldn’t leave the restaurant.
Absolutely fantastic Peking Duck. My family and I go almost every Sunday for dim sum as well. The staff are very friendly, they even recognize and say hello to my son. Sometimes after weddings or large events they've even got a balloon or two for the kids. Exceptional customer service and decent size portions at both dim sum and dinner menus.
Excellent......great chinese celebration...food was hot and very good
Place is nice and spacious and looks clean. Beware that your experience for service is likely based on where you are seated. When we are seated in the middle area the service is decent/good. When we get seated near the far section near the washroom the service is definitely sub par. The carts were always missing the items we wanted or they were like warm because it's the farthest section away from the kitchen. You have to put in the order with the waiters if you actually want something and then it takes forever to come to the table. The dim sum dishes overall (assuming you get it hot) are about average compared with other dim sum places in Edmonton although there aren't as many places in Chinatown now. They don't seem to have any signature dishes that others don't have.
What a wonderful experience we had today! Food was incredible! Everything tasted fresh and was brought to us pretty quick. Not that expensive either! Quality dine. We will be back.
Double booked us for a wedding event 1 month before the date and tried to get us to share the venue without even offering a discount. They didn't even know until we went there to finalize the details. Really don't recommend booking any events here unless you are okay sharing with someone else!
Delicious food, quiet place, recommended
Huge dining room! They serve dim sum daily for lunch. Their dinner service is high end cantonese cuisine.
Food was good. Service was also good. My family is a regular here. Guests that we have brought here also enjoyed the meal, including non-Chinese guests.
Good place to go if you enjoy Chinese dim sum . Wide variety at reasonable prices.
September 2019WORST DIM SUM RESTAURANT IN EDMONTON The food was good however the service is very poor and the staff lacks basic customer service. The staff seems very unsatisfied with their jobs and it reflected in their lack of courtesy manner.Dim sum is still going and the staff started to drag the tables with metal stands which created cringey noise being dragged on the tile flooring. The chairs are being pushed abruptly. While setting the table with dish containers, they were making noises as if their trying to break them.I wished I had taken a video so you'll have a better visual understanding how the staff didn't seem to care at all. They look unhappy while working and didn't pay attention to orders where I had to ask for certain dishes 2-3 times and they just fell on deaf ears. This will be my last visit to this awful place.Ain't worth the $49 dollars I paid.
Wide array of food both for Dim Sum and Dinner. High quality and excellent service.
The food was good and very tasty . The service was good and quick. The place was clean and the ambiance was nice. Would surely recommend this place. I will visit again.
Paid $55 for dinner for two. With water to drink. They were less than willing to substitute non pork items for Muslim customer. Food tastes decent. Poor service.
Location is not the greatest but the food was alright. Tasty: yes. Unique: kind of. Portions: big. CP ratio: 4/5.
Had brunch for 3 and the bill was ~$38 after tax and tips. Its a nice traditional style of serving where they roll out food on carts, and you can decide whether you want it or not. Very tasty and filling. Their congee (皮蛋瘦肉粥 -> "congee with minced pork and preserved egg") was my favourite. The good thing about this kind of dim sum is that the cost is really up to you, with each item being around $4.50 - $6.50.
Typical dim sum restaurant. They introduce new dishes all the time so eating here never gets boring. Weekend lunch could be a wait but the size of the restaurant means you won't have to wait forever for a seat. Once you're seated the dim sum carts are around and you can eat immediately. The bathrooms can get very slippery when wet. In a winter climate, that can be a problem. I avoid them whenever I'm here. Not a fan of the Kleenex they put on every table instead of napkins. They're thin and you have to use a few to wipe your mouth. If you spill your tea you'll have to use the whole box for clean up.The food ordered are quite nicely cooked although prices for the same dish sometimes vary if you order items off the menu. I ordered a fried tofu off the menu and it was $19.80. Yikes! There's low signal as you get away from the windows and the WiFi is unusable when it's busy but works fine when not busy.
Nothing special about the food but portion is bigger than most . Came here for xiao long pao , may first order is dry and the wrap is mostly busted . I told the server and they gave me a new one. Servers are pretty nice.
Great dim sum, which is even served a la carte in the evenings (which is when I went), though a few items are only available in the mornings.Service was friendly enough and prompt and the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained (for a dim sum place). Free heated underground parking is a major plus on very cold days!Emperors Palace is probably one of the top 3 dim sum places in the City now.
One of the few restaurants in Edmonton that actually brings out the whole duck when you order the Peking Duck Special. The server cuts the duck skin into thin slices to be wrapped in a thin crepe with thinly slice cucumbers, green onions, cilantro with hoy sin sauce. The carcass is taken away to make a duck soup with vegetables and tofu. The remaining duck meat is then cut into small pieces to be stir fried with vegetables as a filling for a lettuce wrap. It was delicious! Was abit on the expensive side $63.00. but worth the experience. I also ordered a seafood chow mein for $17.
One of my favorite places to go for dim sum on the weekends.
Food was pretty good, decent portions too.
Not the best dim sum but great service
One of the best dim sum locations in Edmonton, food was very good and the restaurant/ballroom is very clean. Lots of parking nearby for downtown. The staff is very quick to help and we only ever had to wait a few minutes before an item was carted by. It is slightly more expensive than others but it's worth the extra.
Great food and Super great service. Highly recommend for dimsum lovers, will visit again for sure.
We waited so long in line to get inside by the time we got in we waited again to have our order taken. The table beside who were let in the same time as us got their orders coming in already while we were still waiting to get ours taken. We waited again but the staff didn't even acknowledge that we were there. Probably one of the worst service I've experienced.
We were there for almost 3 hours and someone came by to refill our empty water glasses once. Place was basically empty on a Saturday evening at dinner time. Waited for 45 minutes just for someone to come by and give us the bill. Food was also tasteless. I've had WAY better for the price. WILL NOT BE RETURNING
Good food and service. We had dim sun here and for Edmonton it's pretty decent.
Service is pretty good for a Chinese dim sum restaurant. Food was ok, I would avoid the beef balls as the meet was either undercooked or expired. Everything else was fine. I would recommend giving it a try, but make sure you have someone with you that knows dim sum.Update Aug 5, 2018: they are under new management and it appears things are looking better. The restaurant even looks cleaner and staff seem to have picked up their customer service.
Dim Sum has great flavour and was still available at 2pm on Sunday. Shrimp were sweet like cold water types. Many items bigger than other restaurants. Monster Sui Mai.
Very good dim sum. The service was amazing. I always get a friendly face to talk to even if they are super busy. Highly recommend
Excellent customer service, Everyones work as a Team. The Food Great. Thanks
Didnt get to try the food. We waited for too long and we had to leave. Servers ignored us and treat us like we are nobody. I JUST WANT THEM TO SERVE US LIKE THE OTHER ASIAN/WHITE PEOPLE IN THE RESTAURANT -Coming from a FILIPINO couple!
